How can I creat static electricity where it’s adjustable with amps and volts?
I would like to be able to controle amps and volts. I would also like to try different wave forms. Also I will be charging water with this power like a capacitor. Once I have charged the water I would like to reobsorbe the stored energy to put back in the circuit. If there is a Pwm I can buy or copy it would be greatly apreciated. Thanks for your help.
Answer: You can’t.
This is due to the fact that current (in amps) is the rate of flow of charge with respect to time. Charge does not flow in static electricity.
However, using a circuit, you could achieve your aims. I would suggest using an oscilloscope (as it looks like you’re using an AC source) and perhaps a digital multimeter.
I’m not sure how successful you will be though, as capacitors work by storing energy in an electric field. They are usually made by separating two metal plates with an insulator. Unless if you plan on placing two aluminium plates in such a way, I’m not sure how your experiment would work.
Capacitors work by absorbing energy from the circuit until they are fully charged. After that, they behave (somewhat) like an open circuit if the voltage/current source is DC. However, if the sources are AC, the capacitor will release some of its stored energy periodically in the form of DC charge.
