Why does my blower motor stay on after the ignition is turned off?
2004 Chevy Trailblazer. Battery dies after about a day and a half. Good volts from alternator 14.2. When the car is turned off the blower motor stays on. I can only get it to turn off by pulling the fuse from the fuse panel in the engine compartment. Not enough draw to read on the amp meter but a definite noise that stops when I pull the fuse.
How long does the blower stay on?
On some cars, the blower stays on after the ignition switch is turned off to clear any condensation from the air conditioning cooling coil. This is designed to prevent mildew from growing. But that blower should stop within 10 mintes.
