rotary tattoo machine power problem?
So… I just finished building a rotary tattoo machine. I’ve never made one before so this is ghetto prototype numero uno yo. I’ve made plenty of the coil machines, so I know there is no mechanical error. Umm… This isn’t a ghetto rig made out of a pen okay? Think aluminum and brass frame cut on a mill. So the problem I’m having is that my Power Supply will not run the motor for more than momentary bursts. HOWEVER, when I run my PS at 1.5v and move up to 9 or whatever, it works fine. So far, no capacitor. Thats my best guess. So if I hook up a cap, of appropriate size of course, will thiz bich run without the weird burst spasms? If not, what’s the problem?
uh no. You cannot add current with a converter. and the whole idea behind the power supply is conversion to DC from AC. Normally the coils turn the DC back to AC. For the motor I need, and already have, AC.
that last part was supposed to be DC.
