how do i ground my new circuit panel?
i had to install a new electric panel, i did everything exactly the same as the old panel….i did get the electrical permit but i was not home when the inspecter came to inspect…as it was told to my roomate it looked good but i needed to ground it and he would sign off… there is a ground wire from the panel to the water meter…i been searching the net trying to find out what other way it has to be done but i’m not having any luck…….if you know how or know of a website that would help…please help…thanks
What you need to install is a grounding rod… It’s a copper rod about 1/2” thick and about 5 ft long…. drive this into the ground and attach your ground wire from the panel box to this rod….
