Constant Current
Why is the current constant in series combination of resistors?
think of it this way. as a road with car traffic.
in series its like a one lane road. which each car following the next ( or in series)
in parallel its like a multi lane road in which cars can travel on different paths.
so in series their is only one path for the current to take. from point a, to b, to point c.
but in a parallel their is more than one path for the current to take. part of the current goes through one and the other part through the other(s).
now then the current through each path will allow only so much current to flow through it.
the current paths in parallel can be equal so each path would be 1/n of the total. for example their are two paths, both are equal then 1/2 of the total current goes through path A the other 1/2 goes through path B.
if the paths are not equal then one will have more current flow through it than the other.
