Contactor Coil
Relay coil and contactor?
His truck was stalling and I helped him work on it. I ripped this out and replaced it and the problem is fixed. I didn’t think this was the problem, though. It seems fine when you test it with and ohm meter. Can you see anything visibly wrong with it?

Looks like a single coil SPDT relay; they’re everywhere! I know from repairing air conditioners that sometimes the contacts get oxidized and they won’t work. I’ld try putting it back in now that you’ve “moved” the parts and see if the problem repeats. I remember a Daiken I fixed by tapping the xformer with the back of a screwdrive because it was stuck and all the supply houses were closed! Replaced it anyway!
