Copper Inductor
can an inductor be made of a copper telephone wire ?
Is it possible to make an inductor by making several loops of an isolated telephone copper wire ?
if the answer is yes then how can i measure its inductance ? can a transformer be built with such a wire ?

you may make an inductor from insulated telephone wire. if you do not have an inductance bridge to measure the inductance of the coil you wind, you may calculate the inductance for a cylindrical coil from the formula
L= u * K * N^2 * A / L
where
* L = inductance in henries (H)
* μ = permeability of free space = 4π × 10-7 H/m
* K = Nagaoka coefficient[2]
* N = number of turns
* A = area of cross-section of the coil in square metres (m2)
* l = length of coil in metres (m)
