My question is about the telephoto lens. On that page I BELIEVE this is the telphoto lens stats.

Can someone dumb down how much ZOOM this would be comparible to? I want to know exactly how far I can expect to see with this. A 1/4 mile? 1/2 mile?
If anyone has a similar lens, can you take two pictures so I can see the difference?
If you are using the lens on a Digital SLR other then the Canon 5D. You will want to multiply the zoom by x1.6.
The zoom is from the 35mm film standard.
a 35mm lens on a 35mm film camera is a 1x zoom
a 70mm lens on a 35mm film camera is a 2x zoom
So for a film camera it would be around 8.5x zoom
And digital SLR would be around 13.7x zoom.
