Housing Development board(hdb) upgrading?
I am a PR in singapore. Yesterday,the HDB officer told me that my block will be undergoing lift upgrading. In the catolouge,it state that me a PR have to pay the full amount of $16000. If my son becomes a singapore citizen,will it means that i need not need to pay for the 16K and only need to pay for the 1.6K after deducting the support from the goverment
That’s the problem for PR who brought a HDB flat in Singapore, where the flat was chosen for upgrading. Yes, you will need to pay the full amount as you are the owner of the flat. Unless your son is the owner?
I have several friends who are PR facing this problem, and they choose to sell the flat and shift to other place not under upgrading or already upgraded.
