Both the NEC Topaz Talk 6 and Talk12 handsets can have 6 or 12 buttons for programs and phone lines. The handsets display flashing lights, known as the Busy Lamp Field, or BLF, to show the status of other lines. They also come with 10 programmable buttons and dual-colour line keys that display call status at a glance. The phones have intercom capability and can be mounted on a wall in areas without desks or tables.
Small businesses will like the scalability of the Topaz Talk series as well. It can expand up to 24 handsets to grow as business expands.
The NEC Topaz Vision 6 and Vision 12 series handsets include all the features of the Talk series features, plus an LCD view screen for caller ID and other messages. Both the models incorporate operator console connectivity and speakerphone capability.
An integrated data port for modem connection distinguishes the NEC D Series i Basic Handset. This unit also features two programmable keys for lines, plus one-touch feature access.
The NEC i Classic 16 – Digital and IP Handset can be a logical upgrade choice as soon as the company is ready for Voice-Over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) service such as Skype. The i Classic features 3-line/24 characters per line LCD, 16 button display and 16 programmable keys for lines. The i Classic’s Softkeys match up with a functions that show on the LCD, changing whether the phone is in use, on hold, being transferred, etc.
The IP Version of the I Classic offers a 2-port VLAN switch for connecting a computer with 802.3af Power over Ethernet.
