| I have a RL RTL and can't seem to get the door locks to work the way they are supposed to. I've followed the directions in the manual to set them so that they all lock when you shift out of park - that works. But when you shift it back into park only the driver's door unlocks, not all of the doors as the manual says. Has anyone else tried this? |

| Try a search. This has come up a number of times and been discussed a great detail. It will answer all your questions but long story short. They don't work the way the manual says. If you got a quick start brochure, it is correct in it. |

There is now a new manual that has the correction to the 'un-locking' issue. P/N31SJC602. You can order a new one if you want.
pg.84: ...Unlocks driver’s door when shift lever is
moved to Park (P) or Unlocks driver’s door when the ignition
switch is out of the ON (II) position.
BTW how come nobody has brought up the towing capacities in the 'old' manual???. The new one has corrected that also! It states the correct towing capacity:
Occupants/Max. Trailer Weight /Max. Tongue Load
2/5000 lbs (2268 kg)/600 lbs (272 kg)
3/4750 lbs (2155 kg)/600 lbs (272 kg)
4/4750 lbs (2155 kg)/570 lbs (258 kg)
5/4500 lbs (2041 kg)/516 lbs (234 kg)
Personally, I think we should be entitled to the new manual @ no charge. |
