I would like to install a catback exhaust system on my Ridgeline and I need some advice. I want a system that is not too loud and be able to save fuel also. Can anyone recommend a system?
Thanks. 8) |

| As far as I know there aren't any available yet, so you'll have to have a shop custom make one for you. Just find a good place and tell them what you want! |

| You're in California. Call up Magnaflow and see if they'll prototype one on your vehicle. They do this relatively frequently. If they ask you to pay, don't. They're getting a free R&D vehicle so your fee is a free exhaust. |

Thank you very much Scott. I filled out the form on their website. I hope they call me. I also filled out the same free exhaust offer at Gibson.

:D Took my Ridgeline to GIBSON PERFORMANCE in Corona, CA for research & development of a catback exhaust system.
They kept my truck for 5 days and came up with a terrific system that is presently being produce. Once it's all done they will call and I will take my truck back for a free kit. I will keep you posted. |

Excellent news! Of course,i.m.o.,a system needs to be more than just better sounding and give better m.p.g. It needs to give more oomph!. It's one of the items on my gotta buy list. Keep us all posted. We're gonna need,
1) dyno specs (before & after if possible)
2) cost
3)weight savings
4)description of how it sounds
5) what type of metal used
6) pics!
7) when available (Please! ) |

| [size=12]Here are some pictures of the system. It sounds pretty good although it's about two times louder than stock. I gained 9hp and I can tell throttle response is quite better than before. The system is aluminum and overall I am a happy camper specially since it was FREE!!!!! |

| Looks pretty nice, not exactly what I was expecting though. Twice as loud? That's kind of a bummer, I don't think I'd be able to get away with that (wife would veto it). I guess I'll wait to see what else comes out. |

Thats cool! You got it for free! Looks good, and sounds good.
QUESTION???
Did you notice any low RPM torque loss?
Did you notice any difference in they way the engine performs?
How bad/or loud is the noise in the cab?
Thank you!

| It's been well over a year that I had the Gibson exhaust system and I also installed a K&N cold air intake system. Trottle response is better. Overal l I have no complaints but, in reality I don't think is a "great" improvement. And is not worth the money. I did not gain a noticeable performance gain considering the cost, performance difference and all. Since I got my system free I can't complain but is it worth the cost? I don't think so. |
