With winter temps fast approaching I am looking for a Remote Start System for my Ridge. Is there any other cold climate Ridge owners found one suitable for the Ridge ?? Yes there are some that will turn on your Air Conditioner during the summer heat. I would prefer one that would be a Honda Dealer add on option. Looking for feedback on this Topic.

| I've never wanted a remote start, but to each their own, I guess! I didn't think I'd ever want auto-down windows either, but I couldn't live without them now! 8) |

| CR-v, were you able to figure out a remote starter for your Ridgeline? I called honda the other day and they said Honda doesn't recomment a remote starter. I can't decide what to do, if they screw something up it will be such a hassle b/c it could void my warranty. Tough decisions. |

kevman thanks for the reply, I am still fence siting on this. I got the basically the same answer from 3 different Honda dealers as you did. It's a tough decision for me why ?? 1. I want OEM when it comes down to electronics. 2. I am appox 386km (240 miles) from a service point, and don't want to screw up my Ridge over some minor convenience feature. You could check this out, two other members on this forum ( Andy-Montreal and rms 56) have made the move to remote start, suggest you contact them for a feedback. I look forward to any feedback you have on this topic. Sorry if I was no help and still on the fence.kevman wrote (View Post): › docWrite("quote")

Astro Start by Astro Flex. Installed last week, didn't have to give up my valet key. The installer does them for an Edmonton Honda Dealership. Several models to choose from depending on what option/features you want. He uses and I purchased the 3 button model 903U or something like that.
This my 3rd Astro Start equipped vehicle...two are honda's. The installer owns a Ridgeline himself.

Direct-Start generic "Made in China" crap that has flooded our market.
Seriously speaking, I always have my remote starters installed at the dealer so that should there be a problem, they handle it themselves.
The system works like a charm so far w/o problems. My concern right now is the new law that Montreal will be adopting with respect to a maximum of 3-minute idling to reduce polution. |

| I just had a Viper Remote Start installed today. It worked good. They use the valet key in a secured transmitter for starting and it will run up to 25 minutes before the Ridgeline turns off on its own. |
