OK, I have put a little thought into this, and it might just work out if we can get enough owners to agree to go. A Ridgeline Run would be pretty cool. I am thinking Laughlin, NV. We would have casinos, hotels with reasonable rates, Lake Mead and the Colorado River, as well as some of the most scenic OHV areas nearby that you would want to see. There is also the historic mining town of Oatman which is on the old Route 66 just an hour or so away.
If we dream big, we could get Honda and a hotel/casino to sponsor us, and we can plan it for the one year anniversary of the release of the Ridgeline. Get enough RSVP's and we might even get Honda to do a commercial with us all in it. Now THAT would be a Ridgeline Adventure. Just throwing it out there, what do you think? Any Honda People lurking the site willing to throw their hat in the ring? |

| The Ridgeline was released in March, so that doesn't give us a lot of time to plan or ask for sponsorship. I think we would have to get some help from Honda to pull it off. |

| We could make it a 'Heartland of America' meet by choosing a location with an Americana-type feel to it....maybe St. Louis, under the Arch for a photo shoot and then out to the Mississippi River for some off-roading (never actually been off-road there but I'd think they'd have some great places for it) or head south to the Ozarks where there's got to be some off-roading opportunities. Or, if we could get Bass Pro Shops to sponsor us we could all meet at the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, MO...just a few thoughts! |

Many of the different car owners have meets like this. For example, the PT Cruiser club has one called "Meet me in St. Louis". We also have a yearly one here in Colorado called "Cruise the Rockies". Just a couple weeks ago the S2000 community had a meet in Las Vegas. Over on the Honda Pilot forum, a bunch of members in and around the DC area have meet for a lunch "meet and greet" several times.
I think simple "meet and great" events are nice as well as a full-blown weekend event where drives could be planned along with other activities (picnics/etc).
Just my $.02 |

| St. Louis is definitely in the middle, and I think you can do some gambling there, if that is your pleasure. Gambling usually means inexpensive hotels, which is good for us. Personally, I would be more interested in cruising and/or off-roading. You're right about the organizing, I just don't seem to have the time these days. Any organizers out there? |

Yes, I believe there is some riverboat gambling there - if that's your thing. The organizing really depends on what you are trying to make of the event. We have several "gatherings" each year in the one motorcycle (virtual) club that I belong to in several areas of the US (East, NorthEast, West and South. Each is set up with a host hotel and usually has some sort of a banquet - either at the hotel or a nearby restaurant. I'm helping set up the one this year for the "West" in Golden Colorado. |
