I used the Internet purchasing, if you say your going to buy in the next 48 hours (and are really ready!) you can get a great price.
I was able to save over $3000 off the sticker price on an RTL with XM/Moonroof!
I went into the dealer, they had the paperwork ready. It was the smoothest car-buy I have ever had!
Just my $00.02. |

It is not an advertised offer. The money is provided to the dealer only to help facilitate inventory reduction in times of slow sales. With the money on the backend, the dealer can discount more heavily and still keep the lights on/pay the staff. Depending on the type of dealer you are negotiating with, they may or may not let the pricing reflect the extra money from Honda. Some dealers just want to make a reasonable profit on each vehicle, some others want to behead everyone they can. Personally, I consider the latter very bad business. I wouldn' expect my customers to come see me again if I had taken advantage of them on a previous purchase.
two pennies from me to you.
Ben
Ps- I sell Hondas. |

Ben,
Thanks for being straight with us and passing on this valuable information. I know from my own personal experience that there are both dealers out there and stealers. I much prefer to do my business with the former. |

No problem colorider. I just wish that people would realize that not every dealership is the same like you have.
I will be happy to answer any questions that you (or anyone else has) regarding special offers from Honda or other Honda related issues. I have been selling Hondas for almost 3 years now and I will always provide a straight answer, just email me (it will get to me faster than posting here). |

Ridgeline folks: Mr. Montel was one of the nice people who gave me a GREAT internet quote from Oakland Honda (read my post on Internet price your Truck). Mr. Montel...do you remember me-Ms. Kahn?
We ended up buying a little closer to home (Palo Alto), but Montel phoned numerous times (plus email), and was very detailed with stock on the lot at Oakland Honda. We were ready to drive to Oakland (a 30 minute trip) because Montel was on the ball with providing good info of stock-on-hand.
Welcome to the Forum Montel...good word gets around on good sales people, and you are a class act!
Good luck all on pricing your truck and remember--do your 'due dillegence'. If you come into the Dealership from a position of 'strength' (doing your homework and getting your low prices from several sources), you WILL be getting a good deal and leaving the dealership with a positive attitude.
I have read too many times people saying they were 'ripped off' by the dealership... |
