Installation Instructions Here - http://www.collegehillshonda.com/instructions/06ridgeline/ridgelinemusiclink.pdf
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 7 -- In a continuing expansion of audio capabilities in the automotive market, Acura today unveiled the Acura Music Link iPod(R) adaptor, which allows seamless integration between iPod and Acura audio systems. The new accessory developed by Acura enables drivers to listen to their iPod in digital sound directly through the audio system in the 2006 Acura RL, TL and TSX sedans and MDX SUV.
In a related announcement, Honda disclosed their version of the music link. Honda Music Link enables consumers with iPods to select their music by artist, album, genre and play list through the Honda Civic's standard controls on the audio system head unit. The Honda product was developed by Honda engineers.
The two companies’ Music Link products allow drivers to select their music by artist, album, genre and play list through the standard controls on the audio system head unit. Additionally, the Music Link adaptors will be the first to include text-to-speech capabilities or VoiceID, when searching through the iPod music library with the audio system controls.
Greg Joswiak, Apple's vice president of iPod product marketing commented that "car companies are embracing the iPod, and over 30% of the cars sold in the US in 2006 will offer iPod integration."
The Music Link adaptors provide high quality sound while simultaneously charging the iPod battery. The adaptors will be available starting in mid-December. |

| Once somebody finds it has been released, please post. I have been waiting for this along with many others. It is an expensive kit, but with the availability of all the IPOD functions along with full functionability of the original system (I use XM and my CD changer quite often) and guaranteed compatability I am there!!! :D |

| So will this kit allow me to hook my ipod up directly to my radio on my rts? It looks that way in the instructions but I am not sure. I am thinking of swinging by the dealership this week and seeing what they say about it. |

| I'll be interested to see this also. I spent a few hours looking for a good way to hold and charge my Ipod this weekend. Since I have the Aux in on the Ridgeline, it's not too hard to get good sound but integrating and holding the Ipod without a lot of wires isn't real easy. I did see a couple of units that integrated so you could use the Ipod with radio controls but most disabled the Ipod and didn't navigate well so I decided to just use the Ipod itself. |

| From what I've seen in the press releases, it is made for the 2006 Civic. It doesn't say if it will work with any other Honda models. |

| This is really exciting! Im wondering though if its worth it. I was looking at a similar item for 199 at best buy but it didn't let you search with the head unit. But I guess it will all depend on the price and how much it will cost to install it. Might be worth doing it myself. Anyone find out pricing yet? |

I know what site I'm checking out on January 3, 2006.
CollegeHills Honda
You have to scroll down a little to find the ipod adapter, but it's there! This is great! I can't wait. Even the price is better than I thought it'd be. |

According to College Hills Honda "After a chat with Honda Friday it appears they will be delaying the release of the Music Link until 1/3/06. They do not want to release the product until they build up more inventory."

| Depends which model Ridgeline you have. If you have Nav you need an extra cable. Check out the chart to see.Ridgelien iPod Music Link |

| Maybe you could let us know (maybe even take some pics) how the installation goes. I've read, and re-read, the instructions and they sure make a lot of issues out of wire ties, etc. All in all it doesn't look too hard. |

| While we're on the topic of installation, probably the most confusing part of the instructions has to do with the three sections regarding the cabling behind the radio -- guess it depends on your model, right? Can anyone shed a little light on this subject? |

There are two different kits used in the RL.
RT: 6160
RTS: 6161
RTL: 6160
RTL w S/R: 6161
RTL w Nav :6161
From what I see the difference is a cable that allows for a XM radio. |
