I've had my Ridgeline for 3 months with a Flowmaster 40 series exhaust 2 1/2 tubing. But now I don't know which intake to get...
Should I get AEM Brute Force:
http://trucks.aempower.com/product_intake_app.asp
AFE: http://www.afefilters.com/54-10911pr.htm
or just wait for comptech and mugen to make their own version?
Let me know what I should do thanks! |

AEM all the way. They have an excellent R&D team and no product goes out the door unless it makes power AND fits. Fit is a highly underrated facet of aftermarket parts!!
Also, consider that AEM also has the fastest Honda drag car in the world. They certainly know what makes a Honda tick. |

| I have the AFE and love hell out of it. Quick, simple install, nice hp gains and relatively low price. Only potential drawback....hellacious growl on full throttle. But for those of us geezers who grew up listening to multiple Webers, it is sweet music! |

Did it increase your HP enough to feel? Do you have any hard numbers on the increase (either from a dyno or one of those nifty in-vehicle G-Force tester things)? |

| I was reading that K & N also makes an intake system for the ridgeline. What is the preferred system or is there one and which one has the best quality? With the AEM someone had one picture on a ridgeline where the filter for the intake actually resided in the bumper area. Could this be an issue with rain and other weather elements? Reason I ask is I had a friend who had an integra that was lowered and had an AEM intake and it to had the similiar style where the filter for the intake resided in the bumper. Her car had issues when it rained due to this. Water would splash up in that area and cause the car to stall. Now I know the ridgelines are not lowered and I have no plans on doing that to my truck but I wanted to see if that could be a potential issue with the AEM model? And I am definitely interested in buying an intake for my ride for better performance and gas mileage I am just trying to get some input on which would be the better model to purcahse. Thanks. |

Above is a link to K&N Filters which has dyno tests with 9-10 HP increase. |
