| Anyone seen the markups that some dealers are trying to charge for the new civic si? A $20,000 car is now almost $35,000! You have to be out of your mind to pay "market adjusted" prices! |

| I think that pic is too small to actually see the details, but there is a $12,000 mark up! Do anyone of you know anyone who has bought a new SI? Just curious to see what the car really sold for. |

I looked at one this last Saturday in Cheyenne and the only add-ons were the typical ones that the dealer normally does (pin-stripping and such). NO dealer markup.
I will never buy from a STEALER that pulls that crap!!! |

| A guy that works for Honda told me that the SI was faster 0-60 than the s2000! I was shocked about that and didnt really believe it. I searched online and found something about 7-8 seconds for 0-60. The s2000 is mid 5s I think. Any truth to this? |

Under Ideal conditions the S2000 is over a second faster.
The dealer I work for is owned by the United Auto Group, it's against corporate policy to sell a car for more than MSRP + accessories. And we sold our first SI today, with $4000 worth of accessories for $24k. IT had Fog Lights, underbody kit and a couple of other things. |

The new Si runs quite good, but here are the stats:
Si = 197HP and 2877lbs
S2K = 237HP and 2855lbs
The S2K is still a good second or so faster, all other things equal.
IMHO, the Si should do well, for those that want a Honda, but cannot afford the price of the S2K. |
