Need the bolts for hitch install
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I purchased the the trailer hitch and trailer hitch harness from www.cheaphondaparts.com.
All of my stuff came in last night and I have been working on the hitch install.
I have all of the wiring done and now it is time for the actual hitch..... either I am blind or the bolts for the hitch are missing. I have everything except the following items:
6 Bolts, 12x40mm
2 Bolts, 10x30mm
6 Plain washers, 12mm
2 Plain washers, 10mm
6 Spring washers, 12mm
2 Spring washers, 10mm
1 Hitch Pin
1 Hitch pin clip
Did anyone else run into this problem? Were the bolts someplace else? |

I purchased a Hidden Hitch instead of the Honda hitch, so I'm not familiar with the original equipment hitch. If the hitch has an open ended tube, check inside or inside the square hitch receiver.
Those are standard bolt sizes and would probably cost you less than the price of the return freight for the hitch. Should be available at any store that sell metric nuts and bolts. Make sure you get hardened fasteners. Let them know it is for a trailer hitch. |

Thanks Waterbug!!!!
I brokedown the boxes, checked in the tube (both ends) and checked in the receiver and couldn't find anything.
I called Cheaphondaparts.com and they actually are there on Saturdays and Sundays. Jack was very helpful. He said the bolts should have been in a seperate box inside the large box that the hitch was in. They are sending me the missing bolts... but I will have to wait for them to arrive from California and I have the truck all taken apart right now.
I just got back from Lowes and picked up some grade 8 bolts to try and just get it done. Does anyone now the proper pitch for the botls? |
