Okay - the time is here to vote for a new Moderator for ridgeline4wd.com

We have some great candidates and I'm sure any of them will serve our forum well.

I will run this through Friday.

:D

Looks like BigDave and I are neck and neck (Dave actually has twice as many votes as I do, but that's because he's twice as qualified!) :)

This is a difficult decision to make. I feel all would make very good moderators. Do we have to really limit this to one selection? There should be adaquate backup capabilities. Sorry Big Dave you scare me....

It must have been that story about my handle.... Be very afraid! :P I don't know about being twice as qualified as 2006, he has about twice as many posts as I do !!! So if you were going by number of posts.......

Is this where we're supposed to make our campaign promises? It's probably a good thing we don't have to list our party affiliation.

Seriously, thanks for the vote of confidence. If I win, I'll do my best.

It's like throwing a party and nobody shows up! Where are all the voters? :)

Remember the old Chicago saying -- vote early, vote often!

We have 1781 registered users on the site. Granted, many sign up and never return and/or only lurk - but even if you only typically lurk on a forum to learn about a vehicle - your vote is still important. :o

Heck - we had better response from people when ole S-T was here stirring the pot!!!

S-T never would have voted for me, that's for sure! Maybe we need some kind of controversy, like rumors of vote supression or some kind of sex scandal. Maybe we can tie this to a gay marriage vote to get the people to the poll! But honestly, this reminds me of some of the elections we send out to our union members.....

I sense some 'big heads' will now start forming.

Don't forget money talks, any one of you can buy my vote by making a substantial deposit in my bank account. :D

Better yet, Don, just post the info and we'll see what we can do! :)

BigDave has the right idea with the election poster (I want you to drive a Ridgeline), so ... need I say more? :)

Wow - we have some really strong campaign platforms going on here.............

To be real honest with everyone, I sure hope the voting picks up soon as I am really beginning to wonder how much our members care about this whole process (and the site) based on the [poor] voting response.

9 votes and BigDave is ahead 6 to 3...maybe we don't need another moderator, hmmm. If there are only 9 members who care enough to vote, then maybe there's not enough posts to warrant this new position. 8)

BTW I'm going to guess that BigDave is getting all the votes due to the position of his name on the ballot -- I demand a new poll, one where no one gets the advantage. Just try to make one of those, colorider, just try! 8)

Didn't you know? I'm stuffing the ballot box. :P

Low voter turnout, that's a problem across the country. These special elections just don't get much draw.... Maybe if you had held it on Super Tuesday?
