Hi folks...
Newbie with an RTL......good topic on pick-ups and the recent MythBusters show....Does anyone have real data from experience/experimentation on whether you improved mileage on the Ridgeline with the tonneau cover or dropping the tailgate?
Thanks,

Welcome to the forum!!! Mother Honda states that the design of the RidgeLine provides as good or better mileage with the tailgate up as down (different than most trucks). As for tonneau covers, in "my world", little or no improvement - which to me speaks highly for the original Honda design.
YMMV

| I do not have a cover on my RL. I did have tonneau covers on my last 3 pickups, the stories about better mileage I do not believe after my experiences. The tailgate open thing did nothing for me either. Have not tried in open in the door swing mode...   . This reminds me of the K&N filter mileage claims also, I tried it on my last 2 trucks '88 S-10 & '99 Dakota... Nothing there either. |
