Has anyone other than me done the honda on-line poll/survey? It was pretty interesting and covered lots of different topics. The $500 drawing was the deciding factor for me -- I'm always willing to answer a few questions for the chance to get a few hundred bucks!

One of the things it told me was that there was going to be more product surverys in my area and they asked if I would be willing to be a part of that process. Do they say this to all the guys or am I 'special?'

I had the same thing. And I was special too... Lets see if I could win again this time. Back in Oct I won $200.00 in a survey. It's mine again...

I took it too. The odds for the giveaway sound pretty darn good, 1 in 200! I too am in a "special" zip code and I signed up for the focus groups and more surveys.

Just the other day I got a phone call from a gentleman at Honda. He had a bunch of questions about what I tow and my experiences using the Ridgeline to tow. I gave him honest answers and he was very appreciative. He said he'd be passing the info on to "the engineers".

I got the phone call 2 months or so after I bought my Ridge. I had filled out a survey they sent in the mail. I also got the "special" poll asking me if I would be interested in a focus group at a later date. They said they would pay $100 if I participated. Of course I said yes. We'll see what happens....

I've received at least half a dozen phone calls from Honda now. I've filled out a mail-in survey that they sent and at least two online polls. They are researching the heck out of us!

OK Now I am curious. I noticed that all here that are involved in the polls appear to have been members here for a some time now. I have now owned my RL for 1 year (since Mar 2005), is this the case for all of us in this special poll??? I am thinking it may be a survey for persons that purchased 1 year ago. Comments??

Sounds right to me...

Dave - interesting how you opinion is only worth $100 and the rest of ours is worth much more, hmmm, makes you think :)

I tried to complete the survey but recieved this message after answering the primary questions:

"Thank you for sharing your opinions!
Thanks a lot. Unfortunately, you do not qualify for this particular survey.

PLEASE NOTE: Only one submission per person is accepted. "

Guess Honda isn't interested in the opinion of EVERYONE who bought a Ridge. :(

The purpose of the first set of questions is to determine if you fall into the survey's target market group. One thing that would probably disqualify you would be if you answered "yes" to the question about you or a family member working for Honda, an ad agency, etc. I don't remember all of the questions, but what probably happened is that something about you didn't fit their profile. Maybe there will be other surveys in the future that they use a looser profile for?

I DIDN'T indicate that I worked for Honda, an automotive supplier or ad agency. I did indicate that I had also bought a new car.

I don't think mine is a contest, but more of a chance drawing.
