I put a deposit on a black RTL last Saturday, picked it up Monday. I have to say that it meets or exceeds my expectations in every way. Very comfortable to drive, agile compared to my Silverado, and much better looking than I expected. The front end looks kind of weird in photos, but I think it looks great in person.

The trunk is awesome. Finish quality, both paint and interior, excellent. Sound system very, very good. Details like the Homelink remote control and console cubbies very convenient. The interior is very spacious-I am 6'3" 240lbs. and I have plenty of room.

I was concerned about "settling" for a V-6, but the power is adequate and it is much quieter than my old 5.3 liter V-8. I have not had a chance to test the off-road capabilities yet, but look forward to doing so in the coming weeks!

Congratulations Garland. I too was impressed with my test drive. I am anxiously awaiting a Silver RTL with sunroof at around the end of March. I am also going to look at a green one that is coming in the week before. Welcome and keep on posting.

Paul,

I did my test drive in a green RTL with moon roof, it was great, the color looks great when you actually see. I have been in a blue, green, and a black, and except for the black, the colors looked far different than I expected based on web pictures. You might find yourself getting the green if its not taken.

I've had mine since last Tuesday and have been on a short trip and have 590 miles total and about 50-75 miles of in town driving. I'm averaging between 21-22 mpg. The ride is terrific, much better than any truck I've owned or driven (owned 4). The interior is standard Honda, but it's something I like, everything is easy to use and easy to identify. I love the trunk. I can't imagine why this wasn't already thought of. I carried my golf bag, shoes, three dozen golf balls, full laundary bag and 21" suitcase. This truck is bigger than what the pictures show. Stands as tall as a Dakota, but wider. As much room as any full size truck inside. Mine is a redrock pearl RTS and I have the rear splash guards, and I've ordered the bug shield and rain visors. I've been fortunate and haven't had the wind noise, creaky steering wheel, or any other problems some folks have had. The only problem I had was the security sensor light was off center and I fixed that with a pen knife without scarring the trim. This is the first vehicle in forty years of driving and over 25 vehicles that I found nothing to complain about or didn't like. It's a real joy. For those that want to know, I got it on the road sans accessories, but including MD taxes, title and registration for $32,211. You can see a pic elsewhere on this site. Any questions just give a shout in a reply. :D

Is this a RTL without sunroof, XM or NAV? Did you pay MSRP or more or less if you do not mind me asking? I paid MSRP and it came to 35,115. My wife told me tonite she prefers to drive it over her Accord.

That seems to be the going price now. I hope the dealers don't get greedy and start marking them up. I do not know how they are selling. Here in Missouri ours went out as soon as they arrived.
