| Has anyone lifted their Ridges with the 2" kits that are out there now, and have the tires/wheel combo that are specified with each? Example: the Rancho lift kit recommends 275/65 R17 and another lift kit recommends 245/70R17. My question is: how much do they raise the truck? Im concerened that if i lift my truck with tires and all, that it wont fit in the garage anymore. (one of the gazillion reasons i got a Ridge in the first place, it fits in the garage) If someone could tell me the height of their truck after the modification? Thanks in advance! |

| just to clarify: I need the dimensions on the height. Also did the wheels mess with the Navigation accuracy? Thanks again |

calridge,
I would NOT reccomend lifting your ridgeline for a few reasons...
1)you have a tire preassure monitering sys which is calibrated to your size tires
2)has potential to mess up the stability control setup
3) your digital speedometer/odometer will be off
4) you will loose mpg
in short the ridgeline is a motortrend truck of the year for a reason, its extremely safe with all the features that come off the factory line. by changing the height, this negates what the truck was built for and could change many factors that makes it so user friendly. Also dont forget that the air bags are set to go off at certain velocities and roll-pitches....factors that will change when it is raised.
however it is possible, one would have to pay several thousands of dollars to reset the computer,odometer/speedometer, tire pressure sys etc etc.
In short it is not worth the time, money or your safey.
I have had a toyota that i lifted and had to deal with all the issues above. If you want a lifted truck get your self a beater that you dont mind tinkering with t or wait about 10 yrs when the ridgeline itself has had a good life. |

The speedo/odo can be fixed very simply with a $100 VSS calibrator box.
The TPMS is based on temperature and pressure, not tire size, and has been proven by many to work on wheels all the way up to 22".
I haven't lifted my Ridgeline, yet. I look forward to the day that I can afford to do it! |

Several out there on the market. Try a google on "electronic speedometer calibrator".

I have a Truxxx kit coming, should be here tomorrow. If I can, I plan to do the install Sat. or Sun.. I'll be taking pics and measurements that might be helpful.
I also have a Skyjacker kit coming...kinda got carried away when ordering. I got a real good deal on it, when it gets here I'll post for sale incase someone wants it. |
