This is for anyone that has doubts about Basikconcept’s business practices or the quality of their job. As he has mentioned in numerous e-mails, in this “Make to Order Business” there is no inventory or stock from were he can just deliver in days. The quality and engineering of the bedcover is equal or better that those that cost $$$$.
If you order a bedcover consider the time it takes time to build one. And it will be very well built , we should be patient and trust that it will be delivered.
My bedcover looks great and I would recommend anyone that is looking for an affordable great product to place your order with Basickoncept.
It’s worth the wait!
Thanks Basickoncept. |

This is very suspect. Take it from one of the many who have been burned by the Basickoncepts way of business, think long and hard before you plunk down greenbacks for their cover. |

I'm sorry,
But I just can't make myself completely trust a message from someone who has never posted on this board before and the first time they do, it's to promote or bash a product..
Call me crazy, call me paranoid, call me pessimistic. |

I just signed up. The Basickoncept reference was also posted elsewhere amongst others, at the end of a very big, on-going, and problematic situation. It is meant as a warning, and that is all. If you want to buy from them, that is your right, and you do so at your own risk. Please do your research first. |

A forum like this is good for letting people know about a good vendor as well as a bad vendor (as long as it is not spam). Since we have a certain degree of anonimity, and we don't have a clue as to what might have happened, a rundown with what happened in your case might be in order when saying that the vendor is no good.
Just remember that what you might have experienced may be an anomaly, and that other people may have had good service. I read somewhere that a satisfied customer tells 3 people about their experience with a company, and a dissatisfied customer will tell 9. Anyone promoting a company on any forum like this better realize that he/she needs to make sure their customers are taken care of. Negative posts can be disastrous for business; positive posts can make the company.
As one of your moderators, I ask one thing; that posts of this sort be truthful. Of course we have no way to verify it, but I am hoping no one would have a reason to lie. |

| I wasn't just talking about the warning. I was mostly talking about the first poster who was supporting the product but had never posted before. That seems a little fishy. If colorider (for example) had posted the same thing, I'd be more inclined to trust the source. |

Big,
I sent you an email last night regarding Basickoncepts. I think you will understand once you check it out. |

I must say that I am happy that you had a great experience, but let me tell you they are not a good company to do business with in my eyes.
First, I know they are a build to order company, but I waited three (3) months for one part that arrived damaged (due to very poor packing).
The second item I received was for a different vehicle than mine. When I called they said (Brian) they would send the correct one out that day. I received the part in two weeks and only sent part of the replacement part. I called and was told I had to dismantle the old part and use the interchangeable parts to finish assembling the replacement part.
Can you believe this! Build quality was also poor. Please think twice before ordering from this company! [b] |

I read the posts on the "other" website, and I can understand people's frustrations. If you are promised 3 to 4 weeks, and it takes them 3 to 4 months to deliver, there's a problem. But most of the people said the quality was good. Buyers are going to have to decide if the wait is worth it.
I'm not going to take a stand either way about BasicKoncepts, I am not a customer of the company. But if the owner is reading this and other forums, he should be paying attention to the fact that his customers are not happy. I have found that even if you tell a customer that you have a long lead time, they would rather hear that than a lie that they will get it quickly. If your product is good, they will wait. |

You said it Robert. Basickoncepts is from some other planet when it comes to a buying experience. I will not visit that planet again. They have earned their negative reputation. |
