| I was really tempted with the Durango that I was turning in at lease end, when I leased my Ridge. I wanted to turn the Durango in 3 months early. The lease company would have none of that. I even offered to make the last three lease payments if they would just take it. They refused. They didn't want it back. Best offer I got to trade it was $4,000 below the lease buyout, even though it's condition was excellent and it was below lease milage. My Honda dealer was also the Dodge dealer that leased me the Durango. He was embarrassed but did have the Ridge I wanted at the agreed price, when my Durango lease was finally up. |

Torch my Ridgie???????
I'll snuff the flames with my body if she ever catches fire!
Those folks didn't do it right if they got caught for arson. Geez, it's easy if you're patient. :P |

| This topic reminds me of a real life experience. I had a new 1972 Ford Ranchero GTS with a 351 cuin Clevland engine (There was always a big debate wether 351 Clevelands were faster than 351 Windsors). To make a long story short, I ran out of gas and after putting a gallon in the tank I poured a 1/8th cup down the carburetor. I told my new bride to crank it and it backfired through the carburetor. Flames shot up from the carburetor and when I told her to keep cranking it, she froze. I stripped off my shirt and shoved it into the throat of the carburetor, squelching the flames. I caught hell for two weeks for ruining a good shirt. What a decision, new shirt or new truck. :) |

Ooooooo, Ranchero. I had a 1970 Sportsback Torino GT with a Cleveland. Had everything done up on it except I was having difficulty with the dual point distributor my husband got for me for my birthday. It was a Royal Blue pearl that turned purple at night. *sigh* My real passion was El Caminos and I found the little old man special two tone 1972 (I think) SS. I sold the Torino to a stripper. She wrecked it immediately. Sister in law stole the money. I ended up with no Torino, no El Camino and divorced the whole friggin' family. *sigh* What a car. Fast. Loose. *sigh*

I'd immodestly sacrifice the shirt, for sure, Waterbug. |
