i made a post similar to this in the engine/performance department
can someone recommend some good companies to reupholster the inside or do something special wtih the dash?
the interior is my only complaint for this truck |

| what is it about the interior that you do not like. I thought I would put the metal trim on my dash till I got the truck and decided it was fine the way it was. did change the mirror to auto dimming one.:lol: |

i can't put my finger on it, the plastic just has a certain cheap look to it. perhaps its the shape..i dunno but it reminds me of a GM interior.
the upholstery is ok |

| Go look at a Colorado or Canyon and then say that. I sell GMC and I could not get past that interior. Thank goodness we have a Honda dealership owned by the same owner in the same town. I would have kept my Avalanche before I got one on those. I was pleasantly supprised at the interior but after seeing the one in the brochure I was not expecting much so it looked so much better than that I was happy. Maybe it is just me but I am happy with mine. :lol: |

| Do not doubt that but mine is silver. I never looked in a black one but they sure look good outside. I just do not have enought time to take care of one to get black :lol: |

| What would make me happy is to do a complete interior swap on my Black RTL to get the grey/black interior. I'm living with the beige, but only because I love the black exterior so much. |

I just clicked the "ignore" button below one of his posts and now he doesn't show up anymore for me. Makes it weird when someone responds to him, but at least I don't have to put up with his garbage anymore.
Sorry to hijack the thread. Here's a little on-topic info:
I'm pretty sure a custom interior shop could cover some of the plastics with leather or vinyl. I've seen it done a couple of times. The trouble you run into is with the air bag, which can't be covered. |

Hello All!
New here, first post.
I don't own one yet, and I'm hoping to learn from all your experience.
I have to agree with coolcat on this, I just love the black exterior but can't fall in love with that two tone beige interior. The only one I "like" is the grey interior that comes with the Silver exterior.
Anyone know if there's a "fix" coming in the 07?
