| I just got my new RTX last week and it does not have the outside temp display on the dash like the RTL. If I just plug in a temp sensor will it start working or is the a software mod needed? |

| You already have the outside temperature sensor at the mass air-flow sensor. That's where most guages pick up the temps. The question is: can you route it to the display? Ask your service people if it is possible. You might need some kind of plug-in module. |

| That is correct, the temp gauge sensor is located in the front bumper. I'm not sure if you can retrofit a non RTL to have the temp read in the gauge cluster. |

The temperature sensor in the mass air-flow sensor does not register actual outside temps. According to my Scangauge II by the time it hits there it is 20-30 degrees above ambient. |
