Greetings, just bought a new 07 Formal Black RTX. What can I say about this amazing vehicle? When they first came out, I dismissed them as yet another ho-hum crossover vehicle. My last truck was a 2000 Silverado Z71 with all the bells and whistles. Given my previous penchant for modern American muscle cars, the Silverado was an unlikely choice. What it did have was utility for a new home owner with a yard, and that Chevy V-8!

Alas, with the house sold, I bought another car--as the Silverado was just too damn big for Downtown Seattle. Automitive bliss was fleeting, as I realized just how great truck ownership had been--even through gas-guzzling woes and parking nightmares.

New house, and a need for--you guessed it--a truck. Where to start? The Tacoma seemed the obvious. Great truck, great engine--but expensive, and really spartan. 31K for a 4WD with few creature comforts!!!! A 300% price increase over my first toyota pickup years ago...

As fate would have it, I went to a local Honda dealer where they had a near new, used Tacoma. Waitasecond...What's this? A new RT for 24K? Pretty good deal, might make a good daily driver. And, after driving the truck, after seeing all the features, after reading the reviews, I was sold.

What an amazing deal. Of course, the 24K at Honda of Bellevue [near Seattle] turned out not to be a legitimate price, but another dealer was more than happy to find me an 07 RTX exactly how I wanted for a discount....

This truck is likely the best compromise between real world needs, driveability, and performance of any vehicle on the market. It's smooth, handles well, cruises well, does COSTCO trips well, and I'm sure tows well for the average human. It also looks classy. It is as much truck as most people need without the truckiness. This is probably the best vehicle I have ever owned. I realize I'm only 350 miles into ownership, but I am super impressed...

I am an Arizona native who has been transplanted to Washington State. The inclement weather makes a decent all-weather vehicle absolutely necessary...Ice, snow, rain, are all things with which the 'Ridge has already had to contend--and has perfomed admirably.

Honda has produced a stellar vehicle. I know many of you are happy with the relative exclusivity of this truck, but I do hope the rest of the world discovers how great a ride this is--it will change the face of American SUV/Truck buying for good.

To those that were first in line to buy one of these things, I'm sorry I doubted you!!!

Congrats and welcome aboard. Don't have to tell you we all love this truck, too. If you get a chance, post some pics in the album.
