I am now shopping for a Ridgeline, and want to hear any suggestions for getting a good price, the trim that I want, etc....
I have always been a fan of Honda, and currently drive an Element. I think that I've played it all out, so am really looking at getting a Ridgeline.
I'm looking at the Nimbus Gray with leather....any dealer accessories I should get from the start?
Thanks |

Welcome Tea-Mack. :)
For accessories, I would suggest looking to see what others have done and decide what you like.
Good luck. |

| The factory tow package is WAY OVER PRICED for what you get. Adding an aftermarket hitch reciever and harness is fairly easy and saves $$$$. On a lot of other vehicles the tow package includes an oversized radiator, a transmission cooler and additional braking. On the Ridge, it only includes the hitch reciever and wiring harness. The brakeing and cooling are oversized on ALL Ridgelines. The tow package is priced like other vehicles but most of the stuff is already there on the Ridge. |

If its accessories you cannot install yourself, be sure to shop around between dealerships. I had the tow package installed (yes, overpriced) and got it $250 cheaper by going to a different dealership than where I bought from.
I had the running boards installed by a body shop. They got it for a better price than anywhere online and saved me $150 over a dealership (installed).
Other accessories like the splash guards, wind deflector and bed extender are easy installs and you should not pay to have that done. I am not mechanically inclined so I did not try to do the tow package or back-up sensors myself.
There are lots of online sites where you can get any accessory cheaper than a dealership. I have had great success with www.handa.com but there are others that are also others that are commonly used by other RL owners. Just clarify what it is you are looking for and we can point you in the right direction.
Hope this helps! |

I guess I musta gotten out the wrong side of bed this AM...plus those darn 'woman' hormones.
But your handle 'tea-mack' is FREAKIN' me out....
Unfortunately 'tea'...there is a well-known other 'T' who runs another well-known truck site...and just a wondering if you are one in the same???
The similarity of such a handle is just tooo much for a Tuesday after Xmas.
My HUMBLE apologies if you are someone different...but your 'handle' is leaving me with some over-active immagination, Twlight-zone delusions etc, ad nasaum. |
