..anything we need to know about?
How's it going so far?
Any major issues you'd like us to know about or are you plugging right along with a truck that runs as good as the Honda reputation?
We'd like to know.
:)

17 months, no issues, love it as much today as the day I bought it!

My husband and I still fight over who gets to drive it each morning!

I've had my Ridgeline for about 16 months now. I have had a couple of first year "glitches" (Wind noise, steering wheel creak, bad CD Player and a legendary fight with AHM over the all doors unlock fix) but I am very happy to report that Honda has fixed ALL of the issues with my truck and it is the best vehicle I have ever owned.

This IS the vehicle I had hoped it would be when I bought a Honda truck!

20 months and 26,000 trouble free miles. The Ridgeline is the one of the best vehicles that I have had in the past 35 - Oh my God  ! - years. The other three "best" vehicles are also Hondas!

18 months and 22,000+ miles. Issues have been auto door unlock, no reverse light wire in 7-pin plug, both taken care of by Honda. Warranty repairs have been fuse block (first A12 block was defective), steering wheel squeak (barely noticeable but they fixed it without my asking), RH speaker cover squeak, and a blown 7.5A fuse that disabled my dash, power windows, mirrors, wiper/washers, shift lock solenoid, TPMS, VTM-4 and the radiator fan control relay. The loss of the fan relay disabled the A/C. The cause was never determined and it hasn't happened again, so it just must have been a weak fuse.
Do I still love my RL? Darn right I do.

Hey good to here you again J.C. , Happy new year .

My build date is 05/2005, purchased 07/12/2005, there has only been one issue that has repeated itself and that is a groan-vibration from my front wheels, when I took it in last May, they said the backing plate on the front brakes needed adjusting at no cost and that sound has returned. I have 9,700 miles in 18 months, 3,800 of that is travel to the bay area for family time and a ridgeline meet on Mount Diablo, a visit to family in Bakersfield and the all cal meet in Santa Cruz . I have had no leaks or squeaks or rattles. I have the steering wheel squeak and all it takes is a little gentle wiggling of the wheel and it goes away. I am usually the only one in my truck except for my dog Chelsea, so I am not bothered by the door-unlock tsb and I am hesitant to do the transmission tsb because I have yet to see anyone get improved city mileage as a result . I am still thrilled with my rtl and love it every day. I am looking forward to the next ridgeline meet just so I can take a long trip  and to meet more rl owners too :D . The next one for California is in May for the Mount Diablo meet, it will be the second meet [ May 27th, 2007]

My first year anniversary was the week before Thanksgiving.
We have just over 28,000 miles in 13+ months. The truck has been great. The maintenance minder is really a useful tool. We have towed the church youth group 14' trailer full of camping gear (approx 4,500 lbs fully loaded - we have a LOT of kids) for two separate trips (both through the NC mountains). On the last trip we even used the Ridge to extract our CHURCH BUS after the rain softened the ground and the bus got stuck in the mud backing up the hill. No joke - full-size, 66 passenger Ford Diesel Blue Bird school bus pulled uphill (about 7% grade) using a logging chain hooked to the tow hitches of both vehicles. We never even spun a wheel and I had over 30 witnesses. (Really wish we had taken a picture, though)
Just today, I took the truck in to have the CD changer replaced for the infamous "skips when cold" issue. Other than that, we have had no problems.
I wanted my first truck to be a great truck. That's what we got.

I've had my Ridgeline since March of '05, it was the first one to roll off the dealership's lot. Its currently got about 48k miles on it and going strong. There were a few things that had to be dealt with, most of them I attribute to it being in the first production run. The soaked carpet, the door unlock upgrade, the security light falling into the door. There are currently a couple of issues with the truck, one of them a defect, the other from some kind of damage. The defect is with the front map/dome lights. The one on the passenger's side will not come on as either a dome light or a map light. The driver's side usually works but sometimes it refuses to come on too.

The damage happened as I was just about to hit 36k miles. We were on our way from WI to FL this past summer for vacation and on I-65 S in Northern Indiana an object that looked like a large driveshaft was thrown into our path by a vehicle in front of us. I went over it and it thunked us pretty good. The only visible damage is a nice sized dent in the exhaust resonator halfway down the truck, there is something else going on as well however because whenever there is a weight transfer between the front wheels from side to side there's a "funny noise". Kind of like a clunk, kind of like a dink, its hard to describe. I've searched and searched and I can't figure out where its coming from.

I've had my Ridge since September of '05 and things have been OK. I'm a little disappointed that I've had 3 warranty issues but they were repaired without any hassles.
My only other Honda was a'80 Civic 1500 5speed. I put 150K miles on it and the only maintenance was tires and brakes. I tried to change the plugs at 100K, just because I felt guilty. The Champion plugs that I put in, decreased the milage by 3mpg, so I put the factory equipment Bosch plugs back in and left them until 150K, when a Ford F-150 hit me and totaled it.
My Ridge has had a cracked/chipped paint issue, ceased valve stem caps and the door spring warranty recall. The Ridge is about 5 times more complex than the Civic was but my problems haven't been with anything hitech.

As mentioned above, I took my Ridge in for a new CD player recently. Just tried it in the cold this week and the new one skips just as bad if not worse than the original. I thought Honda had figured this problem out and fixed it...

two years in march. bulletproof. 12,000 miles. ice storm in Mo and did't have any problem getting around. amazing. I sold GM vehicles for 23 years and never had a new vehicle this trouble-free.

:D I bought one of the first Ridgelines in my area in March of 05. I loved my truck, RTL with Navi. Made many trips to the beach, around the South East for business, back and forth to the airport etc. 38000 miles since new. No complaints. But THEN

-The week before Christmas somebody hit me on the drivers rear while I was parked at a pub. Pissed me off!!! $750 repair. :
-THEN on the trip down to the beach road debris pitted my windshield causing a crack that grew nearly half way across, $600+. :x
-At the 36000 mile service I reported vibration while braking from high speeds so they resurfaced the rotors. :o
All of this was very irritating so. SO I POCKETED THE $1350 IN REPAIRS AND BOUGHT A NEW 2007 RTL WITH NAVI, DARK CHERRY . What a great looking truck :D :D :D

Congratulations on your SECOND Ridgeline needatruck! Way to go! You are the first person that I know of that has traded their Ridgeline on a new one that was not caused by an accident or some other catastrophe. I have a black Ridgeline but if the Dark Cherry was available in May 2005 that is what I probably would be driving now. How about some pictures?

It will be two years this coming July. Overall it's been a very nice vehicle, especially for a truck. Very comfortable, reliable, and pretty good looking.
The only issues or critical thoughts I may have about the Ridge are as follows:
1. Creeky stearing wheel. Took it back once, still creeks ten months later. I tried a foam sticky pad fix and the 'jiggle back and forth' method....and nothing has worked. I will take it back in soon and demand that it gets repaired for good. The noise is really bothering me.
2. Occasional rattles from the interior. I think it's just from plastic pieces rubbing against each other now and then.
3. Slight hesitation from a dead stop. I'm VERY easy on the pedal and have noticed a very minor pause from pedal application to response.
4. Rear visibility is fairly poor. I'm satisfied with it but it does exist.

Other than those items I would say it's been a very nice truck! :)

Sounds like a very honest assessment, Basils.

I'm lucky enough not to experience the creaking steering wheel after 10 months ownership. Nor do I feel the hesitation from the a dead stop. Do you think the Tranny TSB will correct the problem?

I do have the occasional interior rattle. I agree with the plastic pieces rubbing against each other theory. I usually hear it when the truck is very cold and the heater is starting to warm the truck. The noise eventually disappears. Blind spot is a definite issue. I know they're there so I'm extra careful, but I know someday it'll bite me.

Pizza,
I've heard that the tranny TSB fix is just for odd shifts and constant down shifts (not from a start). From what I understand the condition I have is within the parameters of 'normal'. It's really not anything troublesome. Anytime I take off fairly quickly it never does it.

Just realized I brought home my RL a year ago this week! Happy to say I've not expereinced some of the problems others have reported, mainly the leak thing, that would drive me nuts. I've had the door clip thingy done, the all unlock fuse box change out and the tranny download. Those were all done under warranty......Still liking the RL......
