| When I make my posts to a thread I have noticed that the time it says I made it is off by six ( 6 ) hours, this post is at 4:48 pm and the time will show 1):48 am. What is up ? |

| Sorry, I meant to type 10:48 am , six hours before I made the post pacific time. How is anyone to know when another member is posting in reply to a thread or ones posts. I am going to have to get used to thinking 6 hours in the past or 18 hours in the future. I would prefer the present. |

Hi Dragonslayer!
If you go here I think it says how to overcome it.
But I had to do something different...
Maybe someone knows conclusively how to set each individual time for their respective zone?

The way I did it HAS to be wrong, though, because nothing is reported as being posted "Today". All of today's posts say "Yesterday"! Heh-heh!
At least my "time of day" is correct, however. |

DS, try this...
Click "Profile" (on the header, up ^there), then "profile settings", then scroll to "timezone"...
I'm in the EST zone and I had to input "GMT" for my posts to be correct.
The "TODAY" and "YESTERDAY" things are only visible in the "Forum Index".
hope this helps,
Pug
Edit: Sheesh! I got it right, this time, but PizzaMan had to do it differently... |

Evening Dragonslayer. For EST I needed to set the time to GMT+1. For Pacific it would be GMT+4. The reason for this is the server time is incorrect and we need to misset our times accordingly. I don't think there's a way to correct the day, however.
The time adjustment is located in "Profile", "Profile Settings". Hope this helps. |

| Your time should be GMT+3, Dragonslayer. The directions for proper settings is incorrect. Goto Profile/Profile Settings and Timezone. |

| Well in 30 minutes I managed to go into every page of the profile section and also found a post on the time zones in " how to use this site " it told me to click gmt-2 so that is what I did and now my time is correct to what I see. I also managed to add my avatar too. There were so many pages in profile, as soon as I thought I was done a few more would show up for me to read and before I knew it half an hour had gone by  . Now does the time that I see your post reflect your current time in your zone? I'm at 5:30 plus Pacific time right now. |

PizzaMan,
I think I figured it out... the difference between our choices of time zones isn't the issue here... I have the "Daylight Savings Time" choice selected. You probably don't?
The "Yesterday" posts on the main "Forum Index" page has really got me confused, however...
And the times are sometimes in "AM" and "PM" format, and sometimes in "military time" format...

| You're right Pug. I do not have daylight savings time selected. All I know so far is that the time and day problem has to do with the server time and day. I don't know why it can't be corrected. |
