I have seen so many members names on this site that I thought looked familiar that I decided to check the members list on both sites. I found on the 19 pages of members on the 4wd and the other sites 208 plus pages over 40 members from both sites. And that does not include those that I did not recognize or who have different names for each site . I am thrilled that this site has become more populated and popular. It does not feel like a ghost town like it used to sometimes . I bounce back and forth between both sites, sometimes so much that I can't remember which one I posted on, which only gives me more reason to explore and discover their virtues. I am looking forward to seeing a brochure developed for the 4wd so that I can pass those around to rl owners that are not aware of the site or to prospective buyers.

Moved thread from General RidgeLine to Site Discussion. Seems to be a better fit.

| I bounce back and forth, too. I have 'dual membership' on two classic car sites and often can't remember where I posted a question - I try to NOT post the same issue on both sites, seems like the right thing to do when there are lots of 'cross members.' |

I, your humble moderator, am also a member of both sites. I really only subscribe to a couple threads there because this site takes up too much of my time to surf over there a lot.
I don't want to start anything, but I notice that if you try to type in "ridgeline4wd.com" anywhere in a thread, it is automatically converted to ampersands (*) so you can't read it. However, they do let me post it in my profile. But I want to point out that we havn't had such pretense here, and refer to the ROC all the time. In fact, we have even referred to ROC get-togethers here and possiblibly contributed to participation.
So what does that mean? I suppose it means that we have room for two (or more) Ridgeline forums on the internet. I hope all the membership "over there" agrees. |

OMG!! :D
Actually, I'm a member over there too. I joined when I was trying to sell my stock wheels off my RidgeLine and I wanted to list them on both sites. My last post was right at a year ago.

| Big Dave, I noticed the same thing on the roc and I thought that if the site has nothing to worry about why bleep out the Ridgeline4wd.com. I am active on both sites but I refrain from posting about this site there anymore. I like the non threatened manner of this site and appreciate the freedom to speak or should I say write what I think and feel without the intimidation of being banned. No matter what anyone says, the roc is not the same as before the bannings , it was beginning to feel like a witch hunt. There is not the banter or ravings from some members as there was at one time, but now it seems too subdued. |

Martin, how are you?
Although I can no longer post on the "Other Site" I still have access to it. I agree, something there is different. Things just don't feel the same. That being said, the influx of new members on the ROC will push the unfortunate events to the rear and most will forget about what happened and things should get back to normal soon enough.
I feel when the Spring comes and Meets are organized we should try to encourage Joint Meets making them about Ridgeline Ownership and stress our commonality. People will stick with the club that suits their needs, but in the end we are all Ridgeline owners and that's all that matters.
I'm enjoying my stay here, of course I miss what we all had enjoyed together at the other club, but it will happen here as well. LadyRidge will be rejoining us here soon, I'm sure, and you know she can spark lots of fun wherever she is. |

| New to your site and I just joined. Pizzaman I see what you are talking about now. That's wrong to block post on the other site. It's sound like a ego thing to me. |

| I have already decided that if you own a ridgeline then you are welcome to appear at any rl meet. I have posted meet info for the 2nd central cal meet in the S.F. bay area without mentioning club affiliation. I am calling them ridgeline meets not roc meets or 4wd meets. I do look forward to more LadyRidge posts and threads, I almost feel closer to her then to my 5 sisters or 3 brothers. Her e-mails and pms to me leave me with a warm feeling that one gets from family. |

IMHO, you should not limit guests or previous RidgeLine owners from attending any meet or gathering. Just because someone does not presently own a RidgeLine does not mean that they do not share the same enthusiasm for it or the camaraderie of owners.

| Please let it go. The problem is not us, it's the people that run the other site. I have dual club membership and so far it ok. A meet is a meet and a Ridgeline is a Ridgeline and the people that I meet, are the good people. |

I'm confused, but that happens a lot.
Who's limiting who? For what? I thought we're all pretty much in agreement, "the more the merrier"! |

I think that I was misunderstood here, I am not and never was limiting anyone from any meets. Of course, any guests are welcome and so are enthusiasts . At the all cal meet last september we flagged down a ridgeline that must have thought that we were all crazy or at least touched in the head. It turned out that they had never heard of any ridgeline club. It didn't matter to us one bit. Some of the owners brought their friends or family along for the fun. We even took a picture of our trucks at Pebble beach with an Oddy van parked with us. I agree with Pizza man " the more the merrier. At the cen cal meet a members parents came along in a ford excursion and we welcomed them with open arms. The whole point of the meets is to actually get to meet an greet in person all of the wonderful people that we have met online. Linda [ khanartist ] came to the all cal meet and at the time she was an estranged roc member. I will quote her here " it's like a giant online date " . We all warmly welcomed her, I even let her know in advance of the meet date. It does not matter if you own a ridgeline, owned one , want to own one or you just think that it is a great truck. As long as you are not coming to knock the truck, again the more the merrier.

Dragonslayer, thanks for the clarification. Perhaps it was only I that misunderstood. Sorry to make a fuss.
I belong to S2KCA (S2000 Club of America) and we have many group drives and lunches. We often have guests that drive Z's, WRX's, etc and we ALL have a great time together.
