Vibration at 65-70 mph

I just bought an 07 RTL, it came with after market 20" MoMo wheels. I took it in to the dealer they said they fixed it but its still there but just not as bad. I have never driven a car with after market wheels could it just be that because of the low profile tires I am now feeling more of the road through the steering wheel?

Low profile tires tend to transmit more of the road to the wheel. You just don't have as big a cushion of air. Did you drive it with the stock wheels?

I test drove one with regular tires but didn't pay attention nor did I get it up to 65-70 mph, and I noticed on my truck that when I let go of the steering wheel I can see the steering wheel shimmy even though my truck still travels straight. Maybe I'm worried about nothing but I know how exspensive tires can be and don't want them to wear uneven.

I've driven plenty of cars with low profile tires on them. Your problem sounds like either one of the rims is bent or they are mounted and balanced properly.

Yeah I just went and looked at the rims to see if I could notice anything, the one thing that caught my eye was that there was a bunch of weight on the tires like a lot I don't think I could explain it properly but there was atleast 10 weights on each wheel, you know the lil cube shaped ones, not used to seeing that many, I think the person that they took it too maybe doesn't know how to exactly balance a tire but I could be wrong.

That is a lot in my opinion. The most I ever had on a wheel was 4 or 5. You might want to take it back to the dealer and tell them about it. In my opinion something is not right with them.

That is a lot in my opinion. The most I ever had on a wheel was 4 or 5. You might want to take it back to the dealer and tell them about it. In my opinion something is not right with them.
Yeah but there may be so many because of the Tire Pressure Sensors on the tires, and the weight is trying to counter balance them. I will ask around to see. Thanks for your input Mugnpwr

wheel shimmy

The wheel shimmy is coming from, the tires that are not balance right, or you may have a bad tire or tires. I seen from 0 to 6 weights per rim. If the truck came with the 20's and you have the problem from the start, the dealer should rebalance the tires. After that, and you still have the problem, it's the tires. The only problem you may have is, that the rims and tires are aftermarket and Honda will not warranty them. but the dealer should.
About the ride on 20's. Yes it will ride a little hard on the road and sometimes the road noice will be louder. That's normal.
Pressure Sensors on the tires, If the dealer told you,it's because of Pressure sensors, that's B/S. The guy who installed the tires to the rims did a poor job. There are always a high spot on the tires and on the rims, and sometime it's make on the tires and on the rims and when they install them and high spot and the pressure sensors, must be align right and that can lead to the weights you have on your rim.

Got it fixed, it was my tire balancing I had to take it to americas tire, I guess the place where they were taking it to didn't know how to balance.
