We decided to get a new ride for the wife. After driving a minivan for 8 yrs., she wanted something smaller but with enough power to occasionally tow our boat. The only thing that fit the bill and got her excited was a RAV4 V6. One 4WD vehicle in the family is enough so we wanted FWD and she really wanted Barcelona Red. FWD V6's are a rarity in this neck of the woods and the dealer found one 150 miles away that he could trade for. At this point the transaction all by internet bid and phone. By the time we decided for sure that was what she wanted, the other dealer had sold it. So we have one on order and will hopefully have it by the end of May. We actually saved a few hundred bucks because when we ordered it, we left off a few options that we really didn't care to have anyway. This is the fourth vehicle that I have bought using the internet and will never purchase another one any other way. No negotiations necessary, multiple bids from different dealers and not having to deal with an incompetent salesman are all big plusses.

Internet sales is the only way I'll go anymore. Purchasing the Ridge thru the internet was so easy it was pleasurable.

Best wishes with the wife's new ride. My wife is looking to get rid of her Seville. She likes the car but it's due to be replaced. She fell in love with the Suzuki Grand Vitara Luxury. I keep showing her the Rav4, but she won't budge. Oh well it's her car and the Suzuki does have a great 100K/7 year warranty. Just so happens my Honda dealer also sells Suzuki.

Nope, JC, that was a Saturn Vue and not the one with the Honda engine. Not even in the same league.
With 269 HP, I'm sure she'll have fun. :)

It does come in both, tomcat. Since we already have the RL, we felt that we didn't need another 4WD. The FWD is less expensive and gets better fuel mileage. It also comes standard with a limited slip differential. Toyota ships very few FWD V6's to this area so we decided to order exactly what the wife wanted. Portland is a port of entry for Toyota, so it should be here shortly after it hits the shore.

I didnt read your first post the right way  .The Rav is a very nice vehicle, my brother bought one last fall ( FWD). Hes been to Alaska, Colorado and a few other long distance places and is now pushing 30,000 trouble free miles in 6 months. Glove box door is kind of different :P .
