I have the Navi system and mine has recently started to skip when it is cold. I have heard others complain about the same issue. I have not taken it to the dealer yet but will do so soon. Actually, it's cold now so maybe I had better do it today. Thanks for the reminder.

U-H and Perry, according to a reliable source on the "other" site Honda's March 2007 issue of Honda Service News addresses that very problem. It affects RL's with Navi and requires swapping out the CD changer.

I don't have the Navi System in my RTL, but I think the problem is related to the CD changer used with the Navi System. In other words it has nothing to do with the Navi only the Changer used.

That's always an option.

Good luck Perry, but I don't think they'll give you any trouble. They know it's an intermittent problem.

I had the exact problem last winter (05-06). The dealer replaced the CD Player and I've had no problems since. I have the Nav system.

Thanks Perkolater did they replace the cd changer with the same brand.
If so I was wondering if it was a bad batch or something.

cheers

It appeared to be the same brand, I guess I am not really sure, but it still LOOKED the same. (How's THAT for scientific evidence! LOL).

But, my symptoms were as follows: On cold days some of my CDs would skip. The problem was much worse on some CDs and practically non existent on others (not sure why). Once the truck and player warmed up the problem would lessen and eventually stop, which made verification at the dealer tricky.

So, if that sounds like your problem, take it in. I didn't have ANY problems this winter.

PS. Thanks Pizza man! :)

I have had this issue with my Ridgena from day one. I didn't know they would replace it. :( Do you think at 71K miles, they'll still warranty mine? I do have the extended warranty which takes me to 100K but I'm not sure of the details.

Looks like I have a list of things to get done. Still haven't had the clip in the door handle done, the transmission things, and now this. Did I miss anything? With that many miles on her in 2 years + a month, who has time? I make it a point to get the maintenance done and that's about all I ever have time for.

:(

WOW did you drive around the world and back....
I suggest when you go maintainance do it then. Thats why we pay for the warranty.
The dealer loves warranty work because they get their money from the manufacturer...

What happened to the transmission

I feel like I drove around the world. I bought her March 2, 2005 with 24 miles on her. I guess you could say I love my truck. :)

I read that there is a programming issue or something like that with the transmission, that's why if jerks sometimes.
