Joe,
Thanks for the start-up. This one has been a little confusing and I have been trying to sort it out and get it going. Spartan is working on something, but he has yet to let everyone else in on it. Anyway. I think we give this a few more days and if nothing gets posted by him then here's my thoughts. Figure there's nothing wrong with a back-up plan.
July 28th, ( but I know some people can't make it ) OR August 4th.
A) Delaware Water Gap: Great scenery, small parking area, walking and hiking areas. I know a great place for a bite to eat, but it would mean about a 25 minute ride along the river and through the woods to grandma's house, Oh Sorry, got carried away there for a minute, on some nice old back roads. I have not been to any areas around the Gap in along time so I don't know what else there is to do. I can check it out this weekend and get back to everyone.
B) Swartswood Lake State Park: Great scenery, Plenty of parking, walking, hiking, boating, picnic tables, BBQ, beach, swimming, fishing, ETC., ETC., ETC., You get the idea. The drive to the lake is very nice. I can set-up a spot to meet in town and then cruise up to the lake. I spent every summer as kid, sailing on Swartswood Lake and fishing with father. No power boats allowed. There is boat rentals and you can bring your own. I have two kayaks. All are welcome to try them out. |

I am in for August 4th. Any location works for me. A day with friends and some shiny RL's is a good thing. We will miss Jeanette not being there Joe

She may be there, Bud. I just haven't mentioned it to her yet. I'm thinking it's not an overnighter so she may just opt for a shopping trip instead. |

| As Pizza stated, the date is 8/4! Set your calendars! As for the location, there is several locations being discussed.. a new location recently popped into my head, Kittatiny State Park in Andover NJ. Just another location that may suit our needs. |

| Spartan, there are at least 4 of us day-tripping coming from the south. I'm not sure about the location of Kittatiny State Park, but if it's further north than the Water Gap or Swartswood Lake State Park I'd prefer to keep it a little closer to home. It's not a deal breaker for me, just a preference. |

| I am starting to lean very heavily at Swartswood Lake, the area is gorgeous and pristine, it has good facilities and would be ideal for our meet. We would probably convoy out of there for eats. So that is what I am opting for, however I am still open to suggestion. |

| As far as I'm concerned you can lock it up Spartan, Swartswood Lake sounds good to me. I'm anxious to see everyone. :) And a little convoy for dinner sounds good as well |

For those who are not yet aware, I have officially declared Swartswood State Park as the place where the meet will be held. After a day of fun in the sun, we will convoy out for a meal in Newton. With that being said, I will be needing a headcount, if you are attending please post a message saying so!
Thanks! 8)

I'll be there solo. Only 70 miles for me. :)
Tbird, I'll be shooting over I-78 and making my way up 611. Let me know if you want to meet on the way up.
Bud, if your coming up the Northeast extention we could hook up in Quakertown.
Joe, do you want to go this way? If so, we could have breakfast at the Roy-Ann dinner. |

Dan it's out of my way, but I'm always up for a good breakfast! :D
Is Bud flying solo as well? If he's coming up the NE Extention and wants to join us for breakfast, maybe Landis' Restaurant on 309 would be easier for him to find.
Or if Bud's coming up I95, we can all meet at my place. Do breakfast in Bristol, then drive up on the Jersey side of the river.
Makes no real difference to me, just as long as we meet and eat!  |

Dan and Joe, I don't know if I'm flying solo, but can meet you guys wherever you want to meet. Map Quest tells me to go NE Ext. to 611,
but if you want to do breakfast in beautiful downtown Bristol, I can do that too ! Bud |

| I think we should go with Dan's idea and meet up in the Quakertown area for breakfast. You call it Dan, Roy-Ann or Landis'. Bud and I can go either way. |
