I just got back my ridgeline , after having to take it back to the dealership for a check engine light that wouldnt go out.
My truck had a catalytic converter fail at only 49,000 miles with the second converter failing three days later.
The dealer covered the failure under warranty, but said they had never heard of the converters going out the early in life of any ridgeline.
I wonder if anyone else has had this problem.
I did get back from camping trip during which I towed a tent trailer up to the Sierra's. |

If the dealer didn't find anything else wrong with the Ridge, I would guess it was BAD gas. Catalytics go bad when excess unburned fuel is in the exhaust. If there was nothing wrong with the engine, it must be the fuel.
EDIT: Have you had any excess oil consumption? |
