|

Doing a web search, I wanted to locate a site that had up to date technical service bulletins for members on the truck.
I found this, and hope this site helps members:
http://www.edmunds.com/maintenance/recalltsb.do?step=tsb&year=2006&make=Honda&model=Ridgeline&style=RTS+4dr+Crew+Cab+AWD+SB+(3.5L+6cyl+5A)&zip=20851&synpartner=edmunds
Suggestion: if you have one or more of the issues with your truck, PRINT out the TSBs and give them to the service tech. This will only help speed up the process and hopefully, the results will be no cost for you, the customer.
What we find amusing, if not frustrating, is bringing in the truck with one or more issues we read about on Ridgeline forums...and the service tech 'knowing nothing' about the issue. Nor, does anyone seem to do much due diligence to find it and fix it.
So, as I always 'preach' to our members, be your OWN consumer advocate, and have all your dots in a row backed up with facts. There isn't much to argue when you have the bulletin from Honda that pin points your specific issue. |

Thanks, a very useful item and sound advice.
A few months back there was a post that you were involved in that found TSB's for all vehicles. I found one for the wife's, (aka The Boss), Lexus RX. I had the vehicle in four times for a low speed whine and moaning from the A/C. (Reminded me of an old girlfriend). They had looked at it each time and said it was leaves, normal, etc., all the BS that tells you that they don't know. This time I printed the TSB that had been out for almost 3 years, and included the instructions. Guess what, it's fixed!
These service reps are there to sell, most have limited to no knowledge of automotives.
Thanks again for the link, the previous links, and I concur with the sound advice to arm yourself and take charge.
