I drove to Wisconsin from South Florida with a sofa bed and two swivel club chairs in the bed. I didn't keep track of the gas mileage but it didn't seem to be any different that with the truck empty. The handling was great, couldn't even tell I had it loaded. I now have about 52k on the odo and I'm loving this truck more and more.

While in Wisconsin I drove my 99 Acura CL around town (Madison) where they have quite a few 'bad' roads (unlike here in Fla. where the roads tend to stay smooth, no thermal buckling, etc.) and the bumps were driving me nuts (I'm getting pretty old!). One day I took the Ridgeline and the ride was 100% better! This truck is fantastic!

Finally, the fatigue factor from driving this truck long distances (1,000 in one day, 500 the next) is so low that I don't really feel like I spent that much time on the road. That's important to me because I hate like heck to waste too much time after arriving at the destination just zoning out from fatigue. I arrive all ready to go! Have I said 'I love this truck?'

I just did a South Florida to Atlanta trip last week, about 1300 round trip and 200 local. The Ridge was fine, and I agree, very little road fatigue. Our other car is a Lexus RX, and the 8 year old princess voted to go in the Ridge.

Got around 21 mpg for the trip, all highway and speeds in the mid 70's.

It's been a long time since I've drove that far, we're airline people and usually opt for the free ride on the plane and get there in an hour and a half rather than the 10 hours of driving. But the Ridge was a good ride, and I even got to try the heated seats out, not much call for them in South Florida.

Our longest trip this summer was around 6 hours and while towing the popup and fully loaded. The Ridge was comfy, kept speed wasily and was a great ride. We've also towed for a few boy scout trips and those went equally as easy and comfy. An excellent truck!
