I've had one of these cat delete pipes on my Ridgeline now for a few weeks and WOW! I love it. I'm getting an extra 50 miles per tank of gas and the extra power is nice too. Check them out, I think you can still get them on E-Bay Motors.

I take it this pipe replaces the cat??? And, if so, will the truck still pass emmissions/inspection?????

Does it make the truck sound louder???

Thanks!

As long as the computer doesn't throw a code the truck will pass emissions checks. At least, that's how it is here in WI. If it really improves gas mileage I may be interested in it too.

From what I hear, that third cat is only really necessary for California emissions, but I'm not too concerned with that anyhow. You can swap it out for the cat any time you want. Just takes five minutes and is completely bolt in. No welding!
Hell... It'll pay for itself. you're going to to buy the next few tanks of gas anyway. I figure "why not get a free pipe?" Basically the performance of a cat-back exhaust system for way less $$. I love mine. It just took a couple tanks of gas for the computer to get used to, but now it's great!
Not much louder. Like the the ad says, only when you rev it good or stomp on the gas. Just barely though.

I'm not sure how to get you a link, sorry. I would just type in honda ridgeline cat delete pipe kit or something in the search. It would be in car and truck parts on ebay-motors.

Removing the catalytic converter is against Federal and State law. When was the last time you heard the Federal Government hand down a small fine?

This site treats all who post...equally and fairly.

After reading the post....I don't believe anyone is suggesting to others to remove equiptment off the truck in order to obtain better mileage, etc.

This is a place to post what works for 'the individual' and share that information.

We all have choices in Life.

You can read the post and move on, or if you feel this is something that would work for you personally, then you can do with your truck as you wish.

No 'blame' should fall on the Site, as no one (that I can see), is encouraging or suggesting 'illegal' activity (ie: removing federally mandated equiptment).

They simply posted what they did to their vehicle as an 'informative' piece.

Machine,

Did you ever figure out what increase in mpg you are getting??? Other than the 50 miles per tank. What do you get from a tank?? I get 300 typically.

Thanks,
Riz

I figure it at about 2 miles per gallon better. I went from 400 to 450 miles on a tank.

This is interesting. I hadn't heard of this kit before. Since ebay hasn't stopped sales, there may be some gray areas in the law.

On the other hand, if ebay does stop the sales, who wants to miss out by waiting to see? LOL

Well, I just ordered mine on the 12th or 13th, kind of lost track of time LOL. Too many things going on at once.
Anyway, the guy responded very quickly when I asked a dumb question lol. The price is as you see it $99.00 + Tax. Shipping is free in lower 48 states, it's posted on the other states that have to pay for shipping. Well, I will keep everyone posted after I install it. He said to give it a couple of tanks of gas before you expect to see any gains. Though I want it for a little more horse power or torque. Still deciding on the air intake unit though. laterzzzzzz, Jason :D
