I am going to install a Yaesu FT-8800R 2M/70CM amateur radio in my 2007 Ridgeline. I need to remove the center dash console to assist in routing my wiring. I have no idea how to remove the console. Does anyone know how to remove it? This is the center dash console that has the "Not an Ashtray" compartment and the power ports on it.

The lower centre dash is quite easy to remove. First, pull out the Not Ashtray by opening it and pulling it out. There are no screws involved. Just yank the thing out. Behind it are two screws that need to be taken off. Next, pop off the side panels at the bottom of the centre dash (one on each side). No screws on them, either. Behind those panels are screws. Next, pull of the rubber mat on the storage tray just in front of the centre dash. Under the mat are two screws. Remove the storage tray. I think that's all the screws. Use plastic panel removers to pry the centre console cover away from the rest of the dash.

Hope this helps.
