| Im between buying a nissan frontier LE or the Rline. I really like the RL interior and the smooth ride but I like the bed and the look of the frontier. what do you guys think. |

I'd get a Titan if I didn't have the Ridgeline. But the Ridgeline and the Frontier are probably closer in size, etc. In that case, the Ridgeline wins hands down in my opinion, but...
I did a 'compare vehicles' on the Honda website and the Honda seems to win on the comfort and convenience items and the two are pretty much the same in most other categories. If you look real close, the Frontier edges out Honda on lots of things, but the difference isn't much - 21mpg vs 20mpg on the highway, for example.
Let us know what you come up with. |

I don't know about the new Frontier engines, but their predecessors had issues. My good buddy just bought a top of the line NISMO edition Frontier, absolutely has all the extras and it's a pretty nice truck, he hasn't had any issues yet but it's interior isn't near as nice.
I love the trunk in the RL, i don't have to keep things in my backseat anymore like i did more old truck, a frontier. Also, Nissans needs service every 3,750 miles where a RL can go up to 7,500 although I follow the maintenance minder. RL has a power sliding glass window in the very back, frontiers don't. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me but my buddy who owns the frontier seems to be a little jealous.
They're both good trucks as long as you take care of them, which is the case with most things. |

First: I love my 06 RTL Navi! It's comfy, capable, and fun to drive! I tow a 21 foot travel trailer at max weight of 5000 lbs. It handles it well. It rides like a comfy big car, yet you feel like your in a truck since you can see more and can go more places. I average 17 mpg city and 21+ freeway fully loaded, no trailer. I've got 22 to 24 a few times. Lots of nice features, well laid out, lots of legroom in the back seat.
Second: If you check Consumer Reports articles on both you will see the Ridgeline beat the competition badly in most areas. The last frontier article they wrote was a while ago but they were not impressed. Uncomfortable, poor milage, etc. You can check online if you are a member or go the the library and look at old copies. I have relied on their reports for over ten years and they have been right on the money. A coworker has an 05 frontier and it is falling apart, he hates it and is drooling whenever I roll up in the Ridgeline! |
