Hey Everyone, I'm a proud new Ridgeline owner! Ok, not new.. but new to me.
I just purchased a 2006 Ridgeline RTL w/o nav.
Everything is great, however I have a question and/or problem based on your answers...
It seems to me that only half of my internal lock and window lights seem to be working.
The only lights on my driver door working are: mirror, lock and auto. Shouldn't there be lights on each window button?
On the passenger door, the only light working is the door lock button light. No window light there either.
Also, the cruise on/off botton (by my left knee) does not illuminate, however the VSA Off button does.
Same goes for the heated seat buttons.. driver side illuminates, passenger does not.
A couple details, I have had an aftermarket auto start put in (I live in ND so it was a necessity) HOWEVER, I did notice the heated seat light out before the install, and to be honest, never paid attention to whether or not the other lights were working before the autostart install.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is it as simple as a fuse? I can take it back to the dealer as I also purchased a warranty for it... but if it is an easy fix (fuse) I would rather take care of it myself.
I apologize if this seems like a dumb question, I don't know much about cars (especially electronics in cars).
thanks for any help!

| Just my 02 After Market Remote Starts scare the H--- out of me (think it could depend on the installer) I went for the Engine Block Heater and Battery Blanket for this climate. I hope you can resolve your problem as the Ridge is a great winter vehicle. |

Unfortunately, I too have experienced premature lamp failures. Recently I have my Emergency flasher, Left seat heater, VTM4 Lock, and the VSA lamps fail. These all failed last month, one at a time, none since. My dealer offered to replace them (good faith) even though I am out of warranty. That made me suspicious, but the fact that they had to be special ordered makes me believe this is an isolated incident. Possibly this may be related to early production??? I have #3720 off the line.
I ended up replacing them myself (because I wanted to), not difficult for me. But if you are uncertian about taking apart the dash....leave it to someone else... |

| Well I spoke too soon. This weekend my Cargo lamp switch backlight has now also failed. Any one else having this issue? I have had my RL since Mar 05, this is now becoming frustrating since this will now be the 3rd time opening up the dashboard. Not a biggie, but I wonder how many time it will survive removals??? |
