For those who live in cold / snowy / icy locations, do you miss not having a rear window defroster on it :?:

Since it's a Honda, I'm thinking if it was needed, it would be on there, but I'd like to hear your experiences regarding this issue. Thanks!

A couple of other questions: Does the in bed trunk lid lock and unlock with the power locks on the vehicle? Does the tailgate lock too or is it not lockable?

Not yet.

In my limited experience with bad weather, I find the rear window doesn't accumulate snow or ice.

Trunk locks with the power locks, however, if you open the glove box you'll notice a switch labeled "Trunk Lock". Flipping that switch will keep the trunk locked all the time. You will need to manually unlock it using the key in the trunk lock. The tailgate never locks. Locking tailgate would require an aftermarket locking device. Dynolock sells an electric lock and Pop N Lock will soon offer a manual tailgate lock.

As for the tailgate lock: We got the dealer installed tonneau cover. It has a locking mechanism that engages a latch on the tailgate. The latch pivots up and down so we can lock it if needed or leave it unlocked. It's pretty handy and we love it.

Never had a PU with one. Haven't really seen a need for one in over 25 yrs of PU ownership. Maybe that is why Honda didn't offer one. Would like to know the actual percentage of owners that opt for this option on PU's that offer them. Once we know that, bet will will be able to figure out why Honda didn't offer one.

I live in Western Mass. Everytime it snows, I wish I had a rear defroster on the back windows. Even tho I clear the snow from the back, I still need the defroster. OR I have to crank the heat until I'm ready to cook myself to clear the back window. It's definetly needed in my truck!
