I have a tow package from Honda that I want to take off my leased vehicle (originally I posted this hitch for free but I've changed my mind).

I took it off the truck and I would love to sell it for $100 (local only unless you can figure out how to ship this beast!)

Reply here and send me a PM.

Funny how someone who just joined is interested, where are all the 'old timers?' I'll sell it to anyone, I'm not picky, but I'm surprised that the only person who responded is someone who joined after the ad was posted!

Might want to take note that the hitch was taken off a 2006 Ridgeline and I understand that there are two wiring configurations for the 06 and the instructions for the 07 and 08 models are different. I only know that it works with my Ridgeline. The installation instructions are posted on various sites and I recommend that anyone interested looks at those first to make sure it would work with their truck.

Thanks.

I saw it posted on the other site. Will this be ready to install and tow? or will I need to buy additional parts? I do have a 2007. Could the hitch fit into the back of a ford explorier. I have a friend that lives in Coral Gables, so he could pick up foe me. I have to meet him in Orlando at the end of the month.

What other site? I only posted it here.

I don't know if it'll fit in the back of a Ford Explorer - I think I have all the parts - I don't know if it'll work on an 07.

When you say "tow package" does it include the fuses, relays, harnesses, drawbar, and ball?

Yes, I should have all the pieces that go under the dash and under the rear of the truck.

I am interested, let's connect via the phone number I left on PM. Someone needs to adjust the timeclock on the timestamp of these messages. I am posting this at 9:51pm. It off by 10 hours?

Yes, I have it in the garage. I have one relative who might want it, then I'll know for sure. If you can, please hold off for a week (or until this weekend) and I'll know for sure. Thanks. Sorry to be so hard to get a hold of, I've been quite busy.

I have someone who can pick up that is meeting me in Orlando Sunday, so this will save me driving. It's a great deal, but I really don't want to drive across the state for it. I may back out if we can't do it before the weekend. Can you get the other person to decide sooner? I also want to get more info on the hitch. Can you call number I left on the PM? I have some questions.
Thanks

What kind of questions do you have that you can't post? I've already told you what I have, everything from under the dash including the bracket, relays, etc., everything from under the rear of the truck including the wiring harness, tow bar, ball, etc. It's off a 2006, I don't know if it'll work for any other year. The installation details are on vendors websites and I suggest taking a look at them to see if it's what you need.

I'm not in any hurry to sell it since I already took it off and it's not a problem for me any more. I was in a hurry before because I wanted to get it off and sold before I turned the truck back in, but now that I don't have the ridgeline any more, it's not a big deal for me right now.

I'll let you know in this thread when I get the answer from the family member. If it's too late, oh well, I guess I'll just have to ebay it or something.

You're welcome, I was more than happy to help out a new ridgeliner! I think that the rack looks better on your truck than it did on mine (if that's possible!)

I have a 2007, so I know it will fit. How much towing did you do with it and the condition is good? Is the ridge a great truck for towing? Do you need to cut away any of the bumper or does it install under the bumper? Will I need to purchase any other parts to make the install happen? Wasn't trying to be pushy on selling. But I live on the other side of the state, so my buddy would bring to me Sunday. We both have to be there for a conference. I am very busy like you, so I was trying to save time, travel, etc. I really don't have a need to tow, but for the price you are offering, it would not be expensive to add that option. It would be nice to be able to tow if I ever needed to. That is the reason why I may pass. All that time and travel for something I may never use or use rarely. Sorry to hear that you gave up your ridge. I really love this truck and it sounded like you did to.

I did very little towing, most of it done during one trip from Florida to Wisconsin hauling a 1999 Acura on an auto trailer (the full kind, not the kind where just the front wheels are off the ground), and then to Iowa where I picked up a 1957 Chevy and hauled it back to Florida on the same trailer. The total weight was 300 or more pounds over the 5,000 limit, the Ridgeline handled like a champ, gas mileage was pretty good when I controlled the speed (not using the cruise control) and didn't accelerate much when going up hills.

The condition is good. It did hang off the back of my truck for three years, so it caught a bit of dirt, etc. but it's not all scratched up or anything.

I understand your dilemma, but I don't really care if you buy it or not (I know I can get rid of it locally if you don't want it). I don't know if I'll be ready to get rid of it this week or not. I'll let you know. Sorry for the delay.

Did your family member decide to take this hitch?

He's still thinking about it! I guess he figures that I'm not in any hurry so he can wait as long as he want. Well, he is family! I'll try to get an answer soon. Sorry about the delay.
