My taillight needs changing. Looking at the housing and truck bed I see no way in to change the bulb.
Has anyone done this yet?
Doe the whole unit get replaced at once? Surely not... Brake light and turn signal work fine. |

| Never had to do it yet but it looks like you drop the tail gate and remove the two ten mm. bolts on the side. After that your on your own :) . I would assume the lights twist and or pull out the back? |

| I've had to replace both my lights, but I also put on the brush guards, which was still a simple process. You are correct, you have to remove the 10mm bolts from inside the gate frame. There is also a set pin that requires you to tug on the tail light housing a bit to pull it loose. Just pull straight out. The lamp sockets themselves are just the usual bayonet-type set into the housing. It is a really easy process that should take no more than 10 minutes. Good luck. |
