I've been letting my wife drive it lately, anyway she was heading home on the interstate where there was another wreck up ahead, she was slowing down and she looked in her rearview and noticed she was about to get rearended, she did, then a third car rearended that car and knocked the second car back in to my wife. The other two cars were a Ford Taurus and Honda Civic, they were both undrivable and the insurance company told me they ended up totaling them. I got the estimate back, 2300 in damages to the Ridgeline although it doesn't look it. The rear bumper is pushed in and nicked up a little bit, the very tip of the muffler is barely bent, and the trailer hitch bend where you hook the safety chain on one side. Did you know, on the estimate the OEM muffler is 398 bucks? You can get a nice cat back system for that. Anyway, I'm glad my wife was driving it instead of her car, she is pregnant, we ended up going to the hostpital and they monitored everything, everything is fine according to the doctors.

Glad to here the wife and unborn are AOK, thats the most important thing. And I've always said these RL's are very expensive to repair. A muffler for $400.00 bucks is ridiculous. I'd be thinking cat back to.

Killerv - looks like our traffic has slowed down a bit, huh? Glad all is well with your wife and your fix is nice and easy. It probably was the hitch that saved you from worse damage, especially if the cars that hit you were low. Make sure the body shop does a complete inspection of the hitch and the anchor points for the bolts before you tow anything. You don't want cracks showing up when you are pulling a heavy tailer.

Mael Tov on the baby and I hope he/she is happy and healthy!
