I really miss the auto-dim rearview mirror that I've had in my other cars (all acura) for the past several years.
Tell me, did you add an auto-dim mirror to your Ridgeline, or are you planning to do so.
Also, has anyone installed their own? I'm an avid diy-er and would like to try it myself. |

| I agree with you, a nice feature to have. I have my first on my 02 Suburban and would really miss it. So I ordered one for the Ridgeline, hopefully will be on this week along with grill guard, fog lights, rear mud flaps and a few other add ons. |

| MooEChili - are you planning to install the mirror yourself? If you do, could you post your comments? |

| I have it installed in my Ridge and my Accord both. Like the auto dimming feature and it includes a compass, which I really do not need since I have NAV but I still like having it there. Works very well. Had both installed. |

| rapid-richard -- is the compass like the one on the standard mirror which is has n-e-s-w in the upper right corner and the letter(s) illuminate to indicate the direction (I don't know how to better describe it, and I don't know if this is a common mirror compass setup since I've never had one in the mirror before!) |

No sir, dealer will do it as soon as all the optional equipment arrives. |

| Do you know how much they're going to charge you to install just the mirror? Although I like to do things myself, it's not a bad idea to have the experts do it right if the price isn't too high. |

| labor in Joplin Mo. is $65 hr. I work for a dealership owned by the same dealer so I pay $60. $65 is about the norm around here. |

| At 2.5 hrs of labor, I'll probably do it myself! I've read the instructions and they don't seem too hard...I'll let you know if and when I decide to do it. |

I think it's worth a try and you'd save a lot. I see Partscheap has it for $163.20. Damn, should have done it myself too. |

Seems like the attachment kit is also needed for an additional $45.60 bringing the total to $208.80
Of course, if I could install it without the attachment kit I'd save some more money! Anyone with any info here? |

You have to install the attachment kit with the mirror, you need those peices to make the mirror work. The most noteable peice is the mirror harness.
If you guys decide to order it remember you get a free car car kit with any order over $200, the mirror and attachment qualify for that. Keep that ridge looking clean! |

| I just can't decide which I want first --- running boards, auto-dim mirror, or roof rack.....I want them all, but I'll probably get them one at a time to make it seem like I'm spending less! |

| I have the other two but I just cannot justify a roof rack. Looks like it would catch air and I sure don't need storage on my ridge. I would assume you like the looks of it. I've spent so much on mine now I am getting real pickey about what I put on it now. This thing has turned into a money pit but it is fun. |
