Thanks. |

| I've had my Ridgeline through a couple touchless washes already (the only kind I'm going to be taking it through, BTW) with no problems. Although there is a good weather seal on the trunk a direct spray from a high power pressure nozzle can penetrate it and get the inside of the trunk wet. The doors for that matter too. The rear flip-up window of my CR-V always drips a little when we take it through touchless washes, the price of being clean I guess! |

| I use a high pressure sprayer at a car wash. There is no water in the trunk. Looking at the seal, I don't see how it's possible, unless it just dripped in as you were opening it. |

I understood it was not waterproof, but simply waterresistant. |

| Google on microfiber. It is a fantastic material that is much softer than cotton. I used to buy the best cotton towels I could get, white of course at the Famous Barr store locally. One the Corvette forum I saw a lot of guys talking about microfiber so I started studing it cause these guys are pickey. Check it out. It will protect your paint more than anything else you can use and there are different ones made for different applications, like cleaning glass, or removing wax. It would take to much time and space here but this is your best bet. |

I'll second the microfiber. I was able to find them in large packs at Sam's.

| I'm old-fashioned, I use a chamois! It takes a little time, but it's well-spent time. I have never like microfibre -- they're soft and don't scratch, but I've never found one that is absorbent. |

Have you ever tried a water blade? I use one on the Cruiser and HAD used it on the Pilot with good success. I tried it on the RidgeLine and for some reason I could see some surface marks on the white paint. |

| You need to check farther. fine one for the right use. A good microfiber will absorbe more than a chamois. Do a little research. You will fine hou can achieve superior results with the fiber. Wash after use and it will not leave spots. People far more pickey than I have taught me this lesson. Do some research and if you still want to use a chamois. fine. They have been around for years. |

| Back to the leak question. Are you experiencing leaks from high-pressure spraying directly at the trunk, or are you getting water in the trunk from just spraying the bed? I would suggest if it's the latter, going to the dealership tomorrow (monday) to get it fixed. |
